EV Instant Rebates
The Washington State Department of Commerce’s EV Instant Rebates makes it easier to own or lease a new or used electric vehicle (EV) with big upfront discounts.
Rebate Amounts
New EVs
- Purchase or 24-35 Month Lease: $5,000 Instant Rebate
- 36+ Month Lease: $9,000 Instant Rebate
Used EVs
- Purchase or Lease: $2,500 Instant Rebate
Visit waevinstantrebates.org and:
- Find a Dealer: Choose from the list of dealerships or retailers who offer Washington EV Instant Rebates.
- Select an EV: Select a qualifying new or used EV to own or lease.
- Confirm Eligibility: Confirm you meet income requirements to be eligible for an instant rebate.
- Get an Instant Rebate: Rebates are applied as a discount right on your sales contract or lease agreement- no waiting. Your dealer will process all paperwork.
- Drive Away in Your New EV!
Eligibility
- Must be a Washington resident and register the vehicle with the Department of Licensing at a Washington residential address.
- Purchase or lease an eligible EV from a participating dealer.
- Washington residents making 300% or below of the federal poverty level in household income, equivalent to $93,600 a year for a family of four. Verify your household eligibility on waevinstantrebates.org.
Each person is only eligible for one rebate and no more than three rebates are allowed per residential address.
